6 Best Places to Visit in Malaysia

"Malaysia, Truly Asia", is a tagline of a campaign in Malaysia by the Malaysian Tourism Ministry in promoting its country as one of the best travel destinations in the early 90's, and since then its no stranger to Malaysians.

Malaysia also has a strong responsibility towards its diversity here, and as well as the Malays and the native groups, there is also a large population of Chinese and Indian in Malaysia thus reflects its architecture and cultural antiques found in the country.

Visitors who plan on travelling to Malaysia will be able to choose from a variety of programs to do, such as: diving, island hopping, shopping, sight-seeing, hiking, and trying out the Malaysian cuisine.

Here is the 6 best places to visit in Malaysia.

1. PETRONAS Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur.

The rank of the tallest buildings in the world.
Located in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre are the iconic PETRONAS Twin Towers. The building is at 452 metres tall and was declared as the tallest buildings in the world during 1998 when it was just completed. However, the PETRONAS Twin Tower is currently the TALLEST TWIN TOWERS in the world. The main attraction will be the sky walk over the sky bridge which are linked where visitors will be able to admire the view of Kuala Lumpur and the KLCC Park at the base of the building.

2. Tanjung Rhu Beach, Langkawi Island.

Tanjung Rhu Beach offers a breathtaking view of the emerald blue water and islands at a distance. The beach is located at the north eastern edge of Langkawi. The sunset view of the island is magnificent, thus making it a very romantic beach.

3.  Genting Highlands, Pahang.

Genting Highlands is known as the City of Entertainment. It is located at high up in green hills and mountainous terrain. The weather in Genting is typically cold as it is far removed from the tropical heat associated with Malaysia. It is famous for its Casinos, and the in-door and outdoor theme park. Moreover, the Arena of Stars usually features amazing live performances and concerts for your entertainment.

4. Georgetown, Penang.

Penang has been one of the most popular tourist destination in Malaysia. From their well-known mouth watering street food and hawker food, such as the Char Kuey Teow to their iconic locations like the Kek Lok Si Temple, and their colourful and trendy street arts in Georgetown. Penang is a cultural state of tradition and modernity.

5. Jonker Street Night Market, Malacca.

Aside from being the home of famous historical monuments like the iconic red building which is the Christ Church and the A Farmosa Fort, to the delicious Malaysian delicacies like satays, Nyonya cuisine, and chicken rice balls. Furthermore, there will also be some night markets along the Jonker Street; Jonker Street Night Market.

6. Cameron Highlands, Pahang.

Cameron Highlands, very much like Genting Highlands boasts its cool weather all year around. The cool climate allows the strawberry farms to flourish. Moreover, tourists often pay a visit to the BOH Tea Farm and Lavender Garden, where you can sample and purchase lavender flavored ice-cream. Furthermore, the garden is a beautiful place to take pictures, which is Insta-worthy!! In addition, due to the cold climate, it is an ideal location for a BBQ party with friends and family.
